If you’re looking for a more lively clubbing scene, Liverpool City Centre is only a 30-minute train journey away. If you miss the last train from Liverpool Central at 23:47 pm, it’s not the end of the world – an Uber can cost over £30 or you can wait until 6:10 am for the first train from Central!

Getting around Ormskirk is easy as a student as the town offers reliable transportation. There's the train station in the town centre which can take you to Liverpool and Preston – and if you’re going to get the train often, make sure you get the 16-25 Railcard to get ⅓ off train fare!
There are plenty of bus services too, and the EdgeLink Bus gives you free rides to the town centre if you have a UniCard.
If you’ve brought your car to uni with you, the A59 is the main road – and the M58 is just a few miles away. Driving to Liverpool takes around 40 minutes, and driving to Manchester can take about an hour – trains are usually quicker.
